PUPPET PEOPLE

Staple photos of your students to straws.  Children can use these for putting on original puppet shows or working out problems.  You could also use these as you sing classroom name songs.

Glad You’re Here
(Tune:  Frere Jacques)
Where is child’s name?  (Hold up puppet.)
Where is child’s name?
Here I am.  Here I am.  (Child responds.)
How are you today child’s name?
I am happy, sad, sleep, or other emotion.
Glad you’re here.
Glad you’re here.

Little Red Box
(Tune:  Polly Wolly Doodle)
I wish I had a little red box
To put my child’s name in.  (Hold up puppet.)
I’d take him/her out and go,
“How do you do?”
And put him/her back again.
